Carolina American Tours began in 1918 with a rented “jitney.” Today, the company represents the amalgamation of three family-owned businesses: the Wilson Bus Company of Fayetteville and Wilson, N.C., founded by A.T. Watson Sr.; Moore Brothers Transportation of Greensboro, N.C., founded by H.F. Moore; and Asheboro Coach Company of Asheboro, N.C., founded by Tracy McGill. Carolina American Tours moved its headquarters to Greensboro, N.C. in 1987 and maintains offices in Fayetteville and Wilson, N.C.
